This week seems to have gone in a blur! It's been an emotional week for everyone but the children have truly amazing, and we couldn't have asked for a better bunch :-)
Snack time is going great - lots of the children have enjoyed whole fruits, while others are still choosing from our prepared plates - it's lovely to see them make a choice..... and develop some independence. We have lots of apples and oranges in stock at present so some soft fruits would be great next week - bananas, raisins, grapes, etc.
This week we introduced some mini water spritzers, which have gone down a treat! Great for fine motor skills in squeezing the trigger, hand-eye co-ordination as the nozzle is aimed at a chosen object (no people, please :-) ), as well as thinking about why things happen as some children have been interested in watching the drips or watching the spray blow away in the wind!
We've had PE in the hall where lots of children showed off their confidence in climbing and jumping from a height!
We've had Explorer Time on the school field with races, hoops, balls and cones.
As well as all this, we've been extending our maths skills through Numicon, counting rhymes, and a numerical obstacle course!
We have challenge bikes and speedy bikes, sand and mud to dig in, playdough and sand cakes to bake, parties to go to, animals to take care of, paintings to create and friends to make..... and all in just one week.
Enjoy the photos.
Until next time. .............................
