We can tell it's getting towards the end of term.... and it's been a long one! Although it's been tiring for the children (and the staff 😎), there is always lots to to make us smile......
When a child masters a new skill it always gives us a sense of satisfaction, it doesn't matter how old your child is, or how long it's taken to achieve a milestone, or how great the achievement - every step should be celebrated. Here's some of our celebrations this week.... and what a journey we've had......
Making playdo completely independently
Responding to the registration name call
Sitting and listening to a story
Using a potty
Joining in with singing
Remembering to say thank you
Offering a friend the first turn with a favoured toy
Chilling on the sofa
Arriving with no tears
Addressing staff by name for the first time
Mastering the obstacle course
Making a new friend
Eating all their lunch
Writing their name
Helping to tidy up
Showing an interest in what others are doing and joining in
Remembering special events and sharing them
Telling the truth
Asking for a cold pack for a friend who's fallen over
Laughing, giggling, smiling and enjoying the freedom to be young!!!
We should pride ourselves on the little things... without them we'll never achieve the big things....
