During registration we started talking about eggs.... well why not? Which animals lay eggs? chickens, crocodiles, snakes, dinosaurs, frogs..... and snails.... well we adults weren't too sure about that one (wel you can't know EVERYTHING can you?) so one of the children had a look in our box of information books and out came the book about snails. And you you know? They DO lay eggs... and they have horns, and they are frighted of....... a bird and a nocturnal animal.... why not ask your child is they can remember which ones the snail is frightened of?
Then it was time to go to Africa - on Simon the Magic Train!! Into the hall with the school Cubs (Reception and Years 1/2) for some magic adventures with elephants, lions, baboons, and giraffes. What fun we all had!
After snack we had an adventure outside looking for Endangered Animal fact cards. Did you know?

This afternoon, many of the children were involved in building a tower as tall as Louisa - quite a might task when you are only 4! But so inventive, building little pieces on the floor for Louisa to lift into place. Meanwhile, others were balancing and building with the larger blocks, making bridges and seeing whether they were strong enough to stand on!
Who knows what tomorrow will bring. More of the same or something completely different! Watch this space......
