Lots has been happening! Have you heard? The Amaryllis is very Triffid like and is growing 3 or 4 centimetres every day! The children are very excited to watch it as they want it to reach the ceiling! Alongside our Amaryllis we now have our worm farm, with a selection of wriggly worms which are also very exciting to watch... Although they like to be kept in the dark.... AND we now have some bread... Yes, ordinary bread (kept in a ziplock bag for safety reasons) but we are watching the changes every day - so far it's just gone a bit hard but the children are predicting what they think will happen.... They may be quite surprised!!
The garden has been cleared of weeds and we wait in anticipation for our flowers and plants to make an appearance..... We have plants to listen to, plants to touch, plants to smell, plants to eat and plants to look at! And some glorious clematis plants to watch as they grow and grow and grow!!
Risk and adventure is key at the moment and the children are being encouraged to think about their skills and what they are able to do, climbing, jumping, balancing, creating obstacles..... Perfect for lots of outdoor play!
Our mornings start with a mix of activities with a wake up, shake up, registration and daily discussion.... You may like to talk to your child about the day and the date as you go about your day..... There has been much confusion as we've introduced the months... Marcham is the new March!!! (I live in Marcham!!)...
On a different note..... Thank you to those that have sent in a response to our Information Sharing questionnaire, we will be addressing some of your 'wishes' and comments, although I am thrilled to say that most comments were very positive. One suggestion is to publish the blog so that it can be read through Tapestry making it more accessible and 'user' friendly. If this would be of interest to you, please say so by adding a comment below.....
Thank you for all you support as always. Til next time......
