NICKY SANFORD - EARLY YEARS TEACHER. I’ve been involved with the pre-school since 2003 and started as a ‘mummy helper’ and committee member, when my teenaged children were young. I became a member of staff in 2005 and worked my way through a variety of qualifications and becoming an Early Years Teacher in 2017. I love learning about the ‘psychology’ of child development as well as managing challenging behaviour and supporting special educational needs and disabilities. Stories, rhymes and singing are my passion (as an adult and for the children!) and I get huge satisfaction from helping children achieve new skills, however big or small!
MARION BELCHER - SENIOR PRACTITIONER. I am Marcham born and bred! I attended pre-school as a child and so did my (now grown-up) children and I became a member of staff in 1998. I’ve seen lots of changes in the expectations and running of the original ‘playgroup’ as it evolved into the pre-school it is today, moving from just play to learning through play. I may be the oldest member of the team but working here definitely keeps me young at heart! I’m devoted to animal welfare and I’m passionate about the natural world and enjoy sharing my interests with the children at pre-school.
KATHARINE BROADHURST - EARLY YEARS KEY PRACTITIONER. I’m a grandmother and I’ve also seen 4 children through various pre-school, schools and universities! I’m dedicated to my role and love my work within the Marcham team, which I’ve been part of since 2007. I particularly enjoy the variety of experiences that we offer and get immense pleasure in watching the children blossom.
NIK BUTCHER - EARLY YEARS KEY PRACTITIONER. I’m the newest member of the team but I’ve been working with children since 2007. I have a daughter in primary school and we really enjoy outdoor adventures, messy play and reading stories together. I love sharing these ideas with the children at pre-school and I think I have the best job in the whole world!!
