NICKY SANFORD - EARLY YEARS TEACHER.
I’ve been involved with the pre-school since 2003 and started as a ‘mummy helper’ and committee member, when my children were young. I became a member of staff in 2005 and worked my way through a variety of qualifications, becoming an Early Years Teacher in 2017. I love learning about the ‘psychology’ of child development as well as managing challenging behaviour and supporting special educational needs and disabilities. Stories, rhymes and singing are my passion (as an adult and for the children!) and I get huge satisfaction from helping children achieve new skills, however big or small!
MARION BELCHER - SENIOR PRACTITIONER.
I am Marcham born and bred! I attended pre-school as a child and so did my (now grown-up) children and I became a member of staff in 1996. I’ve seen lots of changes in the expectations and running of the original ‘playgroup’ as it evolved into the pre-school it is today, moving from just play to learning through play. I may be the oldest member of the team but working here and spending time with my two young grandchildren keeps me young at heart! I’m devoted to animal welfare and I’m passionate about the natural world and enjoy sharing my interests with the children at pre-school.
NIK BUTCHER - EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
I’m the youngest member of the team but I’ve been working with children since 2007. I have a daughter in primary school and a son in preschool - we really enjoy outdoor adventures, messy play and reading stories together. I love sharing these ideas with the children at pre-school and I think I have the best job in the world!
ANGI LEVELL-COLLINS.
I am Level 3 trained with 15 years experience in Early Years. I enjoy being a member of the Marcham team particularly working with children and seeing them travel along their pre-school journey, preparing them for their future. I am married with two grown up children, four grandchildren, and two dogs! We spend our spare time together, exploring the countryside, caravanning and camping, barbequing or relaxing in the garden.
LISA NEWPORT
I am the newest member of the team and recently acheived my Level 3 in Childcare. I have 3 children and 2 cats who all keep me very busy, but I love working with the children at pre-school and watching them grow and develop. I love working in the village where I live - it gives the setting a real community feel!
