The Government currently funds upto 15 or 30 hours per week for all children from the term after the child's 3rd birthday. Please see more information for children over 3 years old here.
Our hourly rate for until the term after the child's 3rd birthday is currently £4.60 per hour.
In some circumstances, funding is available for 2 year olds and this can also be claimed at Marcham Pre-school. The criteria for this funding is shown below:-
Who is eligible
To be eligible you must be in receipt of at least one of the following:
Income Support
Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Child Tax Credit with an annual income of less than £16,190
Please note, if you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit you are not eligible for this funding.
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
Note: Working Tax Credit is not an eligible benefit.
Also, all children who are in the care of the local authority (classed as Looked After Children) will be able to apply.
How to apply
To access the funding, a request for funding form needs to be completed. These are available from health visitor, children's centre or other professionals working with families including Pre-school. You might also receive a eligibility 'postcard' which should be presented to pre-school as early as possible.
